Alfred Auffrey, 70, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.

Born in Pré-d'En-Haut, he was the son of the late Wilfred (Fred) and the late Hermance (née: Gaudet) Auffrey. Mr. Auffrey had retired from CN in 1988 after 37 plus years, and was a member of the Club d'Age d'Or de la Cathédrale.

He is survived by his wife, Annette (née: Cormier); two daughters, Lise (Roland) Gaudet of Barachois and Gisèle (Rick) Dutcher of Sarnia, ON; one son, Marc (Monique Cormier) of St. Anselme; seven sisters, Flora (John) Léger of St. Joseph, Alva, Germaine, Aline (late Mélas) Richard, Ella, all of Pré-d'En-Haut, Edna (late Lorenzo) Léger of Moncton and Marie (Camille) Bourgeois of Belliveau Village; one brother, Francis (Marie) Auffrey of Gardner, Mass; four grandchildren, Breanna, Tristian, Latashia and Zédric; and by two sisters-in-law, Thérèse of Moncton and Eva of Pré-d'En-Haut; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Auffrey was predeceased by one sister, baby Anita; three brothers, Walter, Alban, and baby Henri.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Ste. Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday November 23, 2002 at 11am. Interment in Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Parish Cemetery, Pré-d'En-Haut, NB.
